Aquanauts Livingston is home to swimmers of all ages and standards. Many of our swimmers learned to swim in our lessons program, starting off as a 5 - 8 years old in Tank 1.

Lessons Program
Our lessons follow the Scottish Learn to Swim Syllabus and aim to provide confidence and competence in the water environment. They run in 10 week blocks of 30 minutes a week and are booked and paid for in advance. Enrolement and payment takes place on the first night of each block.
Tank 1
This tank takes swimmers from the age of 5 years upward. Starting from the beginner with no experience of the pool environment,we aim to develop confidence in the water. Swimmers are introduced to breathing, submerging, buoyancy and propulsion.The swimmer will learn basic stroke techniques in pulling and kicking movements. Much of this will be disguised as play.
Tank 2
The coordination of leg and arm action in the four strokes will be developed, with an emphasis on increasing stamina. A wide range of aquatic skills will be taught.
Tank 3
The four strokes are developed, especially timing and coordination of breathing and arm action. More advanced aquatic skill are developed
